Description
Shot of a spotted owlet in the hollow of a tree. This is a small owl which breeds in tropical Asia from mainland India to Southeast Asia. A common resident of open habitats including farmland and human habitation, it has adapted to living in cities. They roost in small groups in the hollows of trees or in cavities in rocks or buildings. Photographed this one in the wetlands of Bharatpur in North India. December 2018

Pravine, what a great shot. The owl is so cute, but the tree is awesome in its own right. f/l

Wonderful capture, Pravine. I like the monochromatic look which probably also serves as protection for the owl.
