Description
Access to the Punakha Dzong from across the river is through the Bazam bridge. This was originally a 17th century bridge that was washed away by floods in 1958, The bridge which was rebuilt in 2008 is an exact replica of the original one. This is a pedestrian only bridge. This photograph was taken from Dzong side of the river bank. March 2018
