he Osaka Castle is one of Japan’s better known landmarks and certainly the most prominent of Osaka. This old 16th century castle was built by a well known warlord who played a major role in the then unification of Japan. The castle from the inside has been fully modernized and one can take an elevator to the top to get some superb views of the Osaka skyline. The main castle stands on a platform supported by sheer walls of rock and surrounded by a moat
