Description
One intriguing behavior that is carried out by tigers and almost all cats is known by the term Flehmen. This is a grimacing look identified with an open mouth, wrinkled nose and gaping tongue. It’s function is to get the full strength of scents travelling through the air , particularly of other tigers. This photograph is of tigress Lightning (T83) exhibiting the flehmen response, Photo shot in the forests of Ranthambore.
