One bird that is highly visible in the Serengeti and other reserves of East Tanzania is the Grey crowned crane. Spotted this birds in the Ngorongoro Crater , The distinctive feature of this large bird is the crown of stiff coloured feathers on its head, white sides of the face and a bright red inflatable throat pouch.
