Description

The Ngorongoro Crater has one of the highest densities of lions in East Africa estimated to be around 60. However since the crater is a natural enclosure , there is very little infusion of new bloodlines resulting in a significant amount of inbreeding. This has also led to outbreaks of diseases causing lion numbers to crash. We spotted this pride of lions relaxing with the remains of their kill nearby. June 30th, 2015.
