Description
About 4 hours drive from Rio is one of Brazil’s most appealing destinations – Paraty. The old town which is the town’s colonial center is remarkable for its exquisitely preserved old homes that are centuries old, dating to it’s time as a port in the 17th & 18th Century. Beautiful buildings and churches line the cobbled streets of this quant town. Paraty has a beautiful bay from where one can hire a boat to do the rounds of the numerous islands around it. This is a photograph of the First Church of our Lady of the Remedies which is also the largest church in Paraty. Visited and photographed in August 2017
