Description
Crossing the Grumeti River is the first hurdle that the wildebeest face in their migration to Masai Mara in Kenya. On our wildlife safari, we headed towards the river in the Western corridor of the Serengeti National Park hoping to catch some activity. Unfortunately for us, because of the erratic rains and the long dry season, the crossing was already over. We did however see some large Nile crocodiles basking in the sun. This one was simply lazing on a rock with its mouth open. June 2015

Not sure I'd care to cross the river if this guy's in charge, Pravine; love the pose (from a distance). l/v
